Easy there cowgirl, we know you like to ride but we are about to take this soon-to-be trend out of the barnyard. Chaps (pronounced ˈʃæps/or ˈtʃæps/) are sturdy leg coverings consisting of two garment parts: leggings and a belt. Used religiously for bull & horse riding, they are worn by securing the buckle of the chaps' integrated belt over the rider’s pants. Likewise, they are designed to provide protection for the legs while riding and are usually made of a thick leather or a leather-like material. What makes them unique, unlike your per-usual leather pants, they are that they have no bottom and freely open at the crotch. Moreover, these rustic Equestrian leg coverings come in many variations & can be converted into mainstream fashion by matching chaps with a fitted skinny or why not even ripped straight leg jean or cotton leggings. Fashionstas, you don't need to be a pro-rider saddle up, you just need to look the part. Crotch envy is part of the female chauvinist movement, because we all know nothing is hotter than a lady who likes to ride. ( Partly sourced: Wikipedia.com )
