Belgian fashion designer, Martin Margiela, graduate from Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1980 was a former assistant to Jean-Paul Gaultier. After working for the Hermes' womenswear line as an artistic director, he decided to branch out unveiling his premiere collection in 1989. Since then, he has achieved the utmost cult couturier status, his unconventional and dynamic sense of craftsmanship has grasped, charmed & outfoxed the most cynical of onlookers. In like manner, he constantly thrives off fashion destruction, often depicting then altering the pristine function of clothing from unravelling old army socks making them into sweaters to even using plastic laundry bags as the foundations for his garments. Likewise, through out his career, Martin Margiela has maintained a very low profile often shying away from the media spotlight leaving audience members provoked & curious about what he will bring next to the table. His fashion illustrations, superb, his manipulation of conventional moulds, spectacles in themselves, with an immortal imagination, he pursues his collections evoking doctrine convictions leaving no stone unturned, no jaw un-dropped. This vintage lingerie garment originates back to the mid 1940's in which it's popularity ascended after being worn by such famous Hollywood glamazons including Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, and Lana Turner. Uniformly, the pop-icon performer Madonna was also well-known for reviving this look rocking the signature busts in the 1980's. What is more, this torpedo, cone shaped bra design emulates & accentuates the natural shape of a woman's curves rather than the conventional bra that attempts to make "perfect" rounds. Ahh yes, pointy knockers are making a swift comeback & will become a sure fire way to project a bust with attitude.

"Papel picado", translated to “confetti” or “perforated paper” ( for those who don’t speak Spanish), is a traditional folk art tradition that originates back in Mexico. It involves cutting out intricate patterns out of colourful tissue paper which would then be glued to a string of aligned banners which are then used as decorations for important festivities (Source: About.com). The possibilities of paper cutting are endless as there are an infinite amount of patterns and designs can be created by using tempered steel scissors ( pointy side outwards please) and or by using hammer & a chistel to trace pre-made stencils. Correspondingly, this practice has since evolved into a more modern method called “Laser Cutting”, which does this same process through a high-power laser operated by a computer. Just like any other craft, the elaborate workmanship of laser cutting into textiles comes with its challenges including mastering the complexity and fine precision of cuts, avoiding fraying edges and the tedious repeatability. When executed correctly, laser cutting creates a stunning peek-a-boo motif effect on fabrics. Caution, this trend is uber smoking, when woren, prepare to have alot of attention drawn to yourself, for the super sexy & brazen wearers only.

Ever been envious of that girl with the big ta-ta's who can always pull off the backless dress? No need, you just need to learn to upstage that ishh. It's nothing new; the back is the most under-rated of the erogenous zones as it is fruitful in nerve endings that are incredibly sensitive. Similarity, the back lavaliere is a slimming way to accentuate the back & is a guide to naturally draw the eye downwards. Ahhh, two words for you my friend: sweltering hottest; just make sure you chose one that is not too heavy, worn with or without clothing, the choice is yours. However, to put it bluntly, no one likes back fat so you might as well start working on your back-ups aka the reverse sit-ups now, (maybe some lane swimming as well to get stunning definition as it is absolutely superb for toning) and you'll soon be ready to showcase that posterior for your next rendezvous.
